Reevoo achieves flame retardancy for PVC laminated tarpaulin through formula design and precise lamination (temperature 140-155℃, pressure 0.3-0.5MPa), leveraging its "PVC film + polyester base fabric + PVC film" sandwich structure.

 

Our complete flame-retardant solutions:

 

• Add 15-25% inorganic flame retardants (aluminum hydroxide, 1-5μm) and 5-10% organic flame retardants (WSFR-PCF) to PVC films to interrupt combustion (verified by SEM test, particle dispersion uniformity ≥95%).
• Pre-treat high-strength polyester base fabric with 8-12% phosphorus-nitrogen flame-retardant impregnation (80-90℃, 30min) for internal fire resistance (flame spread rate ≤5cm/min).
• Control lamination temperature/pressure to prevent flame-retardant decomposition (decomposition temperature ≥200℃) and ensure firm layer bonding (peeling strength ≥18N/cm).

 

Finished tarpaulins maintain stable flame resistance (flame-retardant uniformity error ≤5% across width), plus lightweight (340-610gsm), flexible, and weldable properties (welding strength ≥80% of base material). They self-extinguish (≤3s), emit low smoke (SDR ≤30), and limit flame spread (≤10cm)-ideal for construction, medical, ventilation, and temporary shelter use.

How We Produce Fire Retardant PVC Coated Tarpaulin

 

Fire retardant PVC coated tarpaulin is made by scraping liquid PVC paste (with integrated flame retardants) onto polyester base fabric and curing at high temperatures (150-170℃).

 

Key production steps:

 

 

• Mix 12-20% flame-retardant additives, 3-5% smoke suppressants, and 2-3% thermal stabilizers into PVC paste (verified by mixing test, uniformity ≥98%).
• Liquid PVC penetrates polyester fiber gaps (penetration depth ≥0.5mm) for full flame-retardant distribution (tested by cross-section analysis).
• High-temperature gelling/curing (160-175℃, 5-8min) fixes flame-retardant components for long-lasting performance (flame-retardant retention rate ≥85% after 500h UV aging).

 

Final products offer excellent aging (500h UV aging, tensile strength retention ≥80%), friction (Martindale wear ≥5000 cycles), and outdoor resistance, with stable fire protection (LOI ≥32%)-ideal for military covers, large tents, industrial curtains, and construction enclosures.
