Plastic Food Grade Fish Tank

I have a question related to fish farming. Please correct me if I am wrong.

1) On an half acre land with 5-6 feet depth, I think I can stock 10,000 – 12,000 carp fish mixture of Katla, Rohu and Mrigal — right?

2) As I seen on your site, 5% of the feed should be fed according to the current body weight — right?

If the above is correct, then please help me clearing my doubt.

Lets say, out of 12,000 fishes, 3000 fishes died due to unknown reason and now I still have about 9000 fishes weighing each about 1kg in close to 18 months period.

If I sell all the 9000 fishes, then do I have to purchase new stock of 12,000 fishes or the 9000 fishes will breed and the fish count will automatically increase?

All I want to know is, after stocking 12,000 fishes, will they produce or breed naturally or I have to buy new stock after selling 9000 fishes??

1) Yes, you are right! You can stock a total of 12000-15000 carp fishes in your half acre pond.
2) Yes, feeding 5% feed daily according to the current body weight of fish is good for your selected carp fish species.
After selling all the 9000 fishes, you have to purchase new stock of 12000-15000 fishes again. They will not reproduce or breed naturally. Because carp fishes like Rui, Katla and Mrigal don’t breed in stagnant water sources (like pond). Rivers, streams etc. are the natural breeding place of these carp fish species. Artificial breeding is also popular, and most of the fingerlings you used to stock in your pond are from these hatcheries.
