Fish seed stocking

Raising large-scale fish species is a high-yield measure for pond aquaculture. Large scale fish species have the characteristics of strong disease resistance, high survival rate, and rapid growth. Under pond feeding conditions, grass carp generally release fish species weighing 0.25 kilograms, which can reach a specification of 0.5 after being raised for 4 months until autumn_ 0.75 kg, if raised 0.5 kg_ 0.75 kilograms can grow up to 1.0_ 1.5 kilograms. Silver carp and bighead carp are usually placed in one year old fish species, 12_ 18cm specification, up to 0.5 at the outlet of the pond_ 0.75 kilograms. Other fish such as carp, crucian carp, and round head bream are all reared with one year old fish species, with a relatively sparse density and a specification of 12_ About 14 centimeters, after several months of breeding, carp can reach a size of 0.5 kilograms, and round head bream can reach 150 kilograms_ 350 grams, over 100 grams of crucian carp.

High yield stocking mode

Based on years of aquaculture experience and scientific summary, many stocking models have been formulated in various regions, and they will not be listed one by one here. Here, we will only introduce the 80:20 stocking technology:

① Prepare the pond using the standard method mentioned above.

② Put fish species (such as crucian carp) with uniform specifications that can feed on pellet feed and filter feeding fish species (such as silver carp) with relatively uniform specifications into prepared ponds, accounting for approximately 80% and 20% of the total yield, respectively.

③ Feed 80% of fish according to the prescribed plan and method using a pellet feed with complete nutrition and good physical properties.

④ Throughout the entire aquaculture cycle, maintain the water quality of the pond at a level that does not cause stress reactions in fish.

⑤ At harvest, the main fish (80%) should be evenly sized and meet market specifications.

Fishing for trout under the ice generally occurs in depths of 4 to 8 feet. Because trout are cold water fish, during the winter they move from up-deep to the shallows, replacing the small fish that inhabit the area during the summer. Trout in winter constantly cruise in shallow depths looking for food, usually traveling in groups, although bigger fish may travel alone and in water that's somewhat deeper, around 12 feet. Rainbow, Brown, and Brook trout are the most common trout species caught through the ice.
