How To Repair PVC Tarpaulin?

In daily life, pvc waterproof cloth is inevitably damaged. At this time, how should we deal with it?

There are two solutions:

1. We repair with glue

Cut two pieces of tarp according to the size of the hole, which is larger than the hole. It is best to round the edges of the tarp so that it will not stretch easily. Repair one side of the tarp first, and expose the unpainted side when sticking it on the tarp, so that it is more wear-resistant. Apply the glue evenly, especially on the edges, and then paste the prepared waterproof cloth. If it feels uncomfortable after the paste, you can apply it to the joints, which is safe and reliable. It should be noted that the glue dries very quickly, as short as ten seconds, so be sure to apply the glue quickly. Turn it over and stick another piece on the other side of the tarp to make sure it is firm and prevent it from opening again. You are done.

2. We use waterproof tape

(1) First, wipe clean the damaged surface of the waterproof cloth. You can gently rub the damaged part with sandpaper, but be careful not to wear off the waterproof layer.

(2) Measure the size of the damaged location, cut out a suitable tape segment, and paste it to the damaged area.

(3) Level the damaged position between the tape and the canvas, so that the tape and the waterproof cloth are completely glued together.

(4) Finally, let it stand for 1 to 2 hours until the glue on the tape is completely stuck to the tarp.
